Adult Medicine Curriculum - General Adult Medicine

Goals:
  • Resident will gain knowledge, skills, attitudes necessary to evaluate and manage issues involving adult patients integrating patient, family and community resources
  • Time management/balancing of rotation responsibilities and outpatient responsibilities
Objectives:
  • Accurate history from patient, family, other sources, complete physical exam, formulate DDx, plan of treatment with referral as needed.
  • Coordinate continuous care by engaging in discharge planning.
  • Procedures – be able to know indications, how procedure done and perform procedure. Competency based on number and evaluation.

  • Satisfactory rotation completion is determined by the program director in consultation with the supervising attending physician.
