Curricula Descriptions

Occupational Medicine Curriculum

Goals: Broad, General
Most occupational medicine in our country is delivered by primary care physicians. Even if you decide that your practice will have very little "work comp," you need to be knowledgeable in this area as all of your adult patients spend at least 1/3 of their life at work.

This outline presents a base knowledge level that ALL graduates of our program must know to graduate. There are many places where more comprehensive information on this subject is available, including CME classes and course work for further certification. Those websites are:
  • American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine
  • Medical College of Wisconsin
  • Duke University
