Residents - Class of 2014


Jonathan Wilford, D.O.   
Jonathan completed his studies in Biochemistry at Eastern Oregon University in La Grande, Oregon and completed his osteopathic training at Touro University Nevada College of Osteopathic Medicine.  He also completed a Masters of Public Health through the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.  He and his wife have four children. He enjoys spending time with his wife and children.  His hobbies include running, singing, cooking, refinishing furniture, and reading.  Over the last five years, he has completed one marathon and two half-marathons. He became fluent in medical Spanish while he lived in Honduras from 1998 to 2000.
Nathan Reed, D.O.
Nathan completed medical school at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri and completed undergraduate studies in Microbiology with a Chemistry Minor at Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon.  Nathan and his wife, Tiffany, who previously worked as a radiology tech at Blessing Hospital, have two girls, one boy and are expecting another child.  Nathan enjoys time with his wife and children, skiing, snowboarding, golf and reading.  He also enjoys ongoing and continual home improvement and construction projects.
Manucher Mehraein, M.D.
Manucher grew up in Toronto and received his Integrative Biology & Computer Science degree from the University of Toronto -Scarborough, Ontario.  He completed medical training at SABA University School of Medicine. He works out regularly and enjoys soccer, basketball, baseball and tennis. He also is involved with web design and computer programming.
Chris Cooper, M.D. 
Chris is married to Heidy, who works with a not for profit organization. They are planning on getting married in May.  Chris completed his undergraduate degree at Baylor University in Neuroscience and Biochemistry.  Medical studies were completed at Ross University School of Medicine. Chris enjoys playing acoustic blues guitar and hopes one day to play in front of a live audience. His other interests include water sports and civil liberty law.

 

Medhane Mesgena, M.D.
Medhane was born and raised in Ethiopia and moved to Florida where he completed a pre-med and physics studies at the Florida Institute of Technology. He completed his medical studies at Saba University.  He is interested in all things soccer - coaching, playing, and watching.  He also has interests in Afro-Asiatic history, music, travel and current world affairs. He has recently developed an interest in Yoga.
  Owais Iqbal, M.D.
Owais is the oldest of three boys, was born in Pakistan, grew up in Saudi Arabia, and has lived in Chicago for the last several years.  He received his biomedical engineering degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago and completed medical school training at St. Matthews University.  His interests include sports, movies, music, physical fitness, family, friends, International Medicine, and world affairs.
