Memory Joggers: Oral Rehydration Therapy
- One level teaspoon of salt
- Eight level teaspoons of sugar
- One litre(5 cups) of clean drinking water
- 1/2 cup orange juice or 1/2 mashed banana
Feed after every loose stool.
Adults and adolescents should drink at least 3 quarts or liters of ORS a day until they are well.
For a child under the age of two .25 to .5 cup per feeding.
For older children .5-1 cup per feeding.
